Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen 2016

Faith Johnson was crowned Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen on June 10th. In addition to earning the scholarships that come with the title, Faith also walked away with the overall talent award which brought her more money for her future. Faith's longterm goals have her joining the Peace Corps.


Faith is a junior at St. Andrews School in Helena. She frequents the stage at Grandstreet Theatre and her love for the arts is what inspired her personal platform, "Fostering Creativity." Faith keeps herself busy from being on stage, to writing original music, and playing the ukulele. 


Her beautiful voice captured the judges and audience during the Miss Montana's Outstanding Teen competition as she belted out "I'm Not Alone" from the Broadway musical ​Carrie.



Nicole Jia

Speaking to audiences about her platform #BeSelfless, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2017 Nicole Jia will also act as the official National Teen Goodwill Ambassador for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children’s hospitals. CMNH is the national platform partner of the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization.

Jia is a 17-year-old student at Casady School. She resides in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Along with the title of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2017, Jia won a $30,000 scholarship provided by The Harris Rosen Foundation and the Orlando Scholarship Foundation, Inc. toward her college education. Jia was also named the recipient of the Outstanding Instrumentalist Award. She earned an additional $500 scholarship for this award.

Faith is beyond excited to spend the next year serving Montana. She is looking forward to all the new people she will meet because of this opportunity. Through her platform and the year of service she has ahead of her,  she is excited about the impact she could make in someone's life. 


At the end of July, Faith traveled to Orlando, Florida and competed for the title of Miss America's Outstanding Teen. In it's 11th year MAOT has provided almost a million dollars in cash and in kind scholarship to thousands of young, goal oriented, driven women.
